Introduction

The Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) creates, revises and enforces the CAP Code for ads in non-broadcast media. Its Compliance team is responsible for enforcing ASA adjudications. Its role is to:
• Ensure ads that breach the Code are removed
• Identify problems within industry sectors
• Act against advertisers who refuse to work within the self-regulatory system
