Insider's Guide to the ASA

Location: Glasgow & Edinburgh

Date: 14 March 2007

On the 14 March the Advertising Standards Authority will be visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh to host seminars for the advertising industry in Scotland.  The ASA operates a one stop shop for advertising complaints, providing a single place to complain for almost every form of advertising.

If you are involved in the production, design, publishing or distribution of advertising or other marketing communications in the UK, you are responsible for ensuring those ads comply with the rules administered by the ASA.  These free-to-attend briefings are an excellent opportunity to arm yourself with the knowledge that will help you do your job better whatever type of advertising you are involved with.

 - Have your questions about advertising regulation answered
 - Learn about the key requirements of the advertising codes
 - Find out what happens if the ASA receives complaints about your advertising
 - Learn about ASA Council decisions using real examples
 - Get guidance on how to avoid common pitfalls and avoid costly and embarrassing mistakes in your    marketing communications
 - How to access CAP's fast, free copy advice service for non-broadcast advertising

We will be running two seminars on the 14 March in the following locations:
