There is a great deal of legislation governing what can and can't be said in advertisements for financial products and services and in our links section you can find a link to the Financial Services Authority which is responsible for much of the legislation. In addition, the British Code of Advertising, Sales Promotion and Direct Marketing includes a special section of rules for aspects not covered by the law. In particular, this includes matters of taste and decency, privacy and incitements to anti-social behaviour.
