Post investigation compliance
When the ASA publishes an upheld adjudication, it asks the advertiser involved for a written assurance that the problematic claim or image will be removed or amended.
If the ASA does not receive the requested assurance, the Compliance team repeats the request and undertakes a process of negotiation until such time as a satisfactory assurance is received.
For the rare occasions when an assurance is not forthcoming we will consider the application of appropriate sanctions.
