The Advertising Codes are written and maintained by the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) and are independently administered by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

The ASA and CAP Annual Report highlights how the two organisations worked together in 2009 to create a 360 degree regulatory system that remains current and proactive in an ever evolving industry.
